Dora married Fred in 1904 and was living in 8 Queen Annes Rd York at the time of the 1911 census

She started having an affair with Bernard Trotter Ellis and engineer sometime before February 1911. Dora went to Buxton (the article below is confusing and I wonder if the first Buxton should have been Cornwall) in March and stayed there until December and her daughter Nancy (Nance) Lilian Ellis was born in the October quarter of 1911 in Penzance, Cornwall. She then went to visit her sister Edith Isobel Margrett in Birmingham. She finally returned to York in January but went back to her mothers house and agreed to leave Fred until two days later when she said she loved him and was leaving her husband.

She divorced and married Bernard and they ended up living in Canada but came back to the UK every now and again

March 1912 Bernard, Nancy and Dora left the UK to live in Canada. They Departed Liverpool; Arr. Halifax, Nova Scotia (Mar 4); Arr. Portland, Maine, USA (Mar 5)
